Me Time…it happens ya know never

OK that’s not entirely true. I do make a point to have me time as much as possible or my “solitary” moments. But I think a lot of people would not agree on how I spend it. I spend it working out. Thats my me time. I don’t respond to emails, I dont look at my phone, I spend one hour each day aside from one rest day focused on myself. I think about things I want to think about. Sometimes Ill read on my ipad if Im running or on the elliptical. Sometimes Ill listen to a movie on my iPod. But we all spend our me time differently. Sure I love to browse the mall, get a mani/pedi, have a Starbucks and watch Teen Mom but the working out daily is my one staple me time every single day and for that I am grateful.

I think as women we find it tough to take ME time. We put everyone else first and we put ourselves last. Our me time isn’t as important as the laundry, work, taking care of the kids and the boyfriend/husband/family etc.

But WE as women need to realize we are important and me time is important. Lets all take 2013 to challenge ourselves to more ME time. Its not selfish its actually helpful cause the happier we are the happier everyone is.
